Yoga Calm Principle/Goal: Stillness

Lesson Plan:

Stillness – Belly Breathing w/ Hoberman Sphere with a student leader (two times counting to five and one time having the leader choose the length of breathe). Back breathing.

Listening – Compliments for the leaders/partners will be given.

Grounding – Partner Pull and Shoulder Clock.

Strength – Sun Salutation (middle section of Chair 15 to be done three times; students will be asked to lead the second and third set) and Dancer (with a partner).

Listening Compliments for the leaders/partners will be given.

Community – Sensory Adventure  (the students who are the leaders will be asked to really focus on reading their partners facial expressions and asked to think about what things they could do to make their partners feel comfortable).

Stillness Read “Around The World” from Ready…Set…R.E.L.A.X. (this story helps students understand that all people on earth have things in common).
