Yoga Calm Principle/Lesson Goal: Listening

Lesson Plan:

Calm

  • Belly Breathing – with Hoberman
  • Pulse Count – to self and then for 30 seconds

Activate – several poses done to rhythm of the drum

  • Activate/Relax walk
  • Arm swings with positive self-talk -“I am strong. I can do it.”
  • Forward bend x2
  • Chair x2
  • Downward Dog
  • Cobra

Calm

  • Twist
  • Calm Voice
  • Relaxation – with Mindful Moments listening card-“ln the next moment, listen to all the different sounds in the room. How many can you hear? ..”
