Lesson Plan:
Calm
- Chime – Listen to the chime and be still as you can be until it ends
- Belly Breathing – with Hoberman Sphere: 10 breaths
Activate
- Mountain Pose – still and solid, tall and strong
- Roots -align your feet, feel them firmly in the ground, imagine the stillness inside the earth where the roots grow
- Chair Flow – from mountain to mountain, pointing out and holding the stillness of each pose
- Tree Pose – still and strong in the wind and rain, be still and imagine a soft breeze through your branches, can your trunk stay still through the winds that change things?
- Tree Circle – how much stiller and stronger, more balanced we are when we are together in community, when we help each other
- Community Circle Activity – be still and think of the people in your community who support you
Calm
- Stacked Hands on desk – feet still on the floor for 30 seconds
- Progressive Muscle Relaxation
- One Minute Exploration – of being still, laying on the lawn while the clouds float by
