Lesson Plan:

Materials: Mats, Chime, Hoberman Sphere

Calm

  • Find the Squares on Hands and Feet
  • Hoberman sphere Breathing – getting into our bodies
  • Rock n Roll to Boat
  • Shaking to Grounded
  • Mountain – Grounding – roots in feet, hands stretch toward the sun
  • Crescent Moon – Press through feet to reach farther
  • Down Dog – Grounding through feet and hands (One Legged Dog)

Activate

  • Mountain – ground children through shoulders, feet TEST MOUNTAIN
  • Mountain, Upward Reaching Pose, Waterfall, Down Dog, Crocodile, Cobra, Down Dog – press into feet, hands bellies!
  • Star, Moonflowers, Sunflowers, Sun Pose – press through feet
  • Tree, Bending Tree, Tree Challenge

Calm

  • Polar Bear Story
  • Lotus or Turtle – Grounding through sitting bones
  • Mindful Snack – chocolate
  • Gentle Bridge – press through feet
  • Windshield Wipers
  • Rock and Roll
  • Grounding story – standing by a tree
