Lesson Plan:
Calm
- Sun Salutation – with Good Morning song
- Read Book – The Other Way to Listen Story
- Stillness Introduction – with paper plate moon
- Mindful Moment Card on Stillness
- Listen Song
- Belly Breathing – with Hoberman Sphere
- Pinwheel Breathing – blow it to the count of 5 or 7, blow it smooth and slow and make the pinwheel glide and slide

- Arm Swings
- Forward Bend
- Star – connected with our story about how you can get so quiet you can hear the stars in the sky and we all stood in stillness for a few seconds to listen to the stars.

Calm
- Progressive Relaxation – “pucker up like a lemon”
- Short Story – related to The Other Way to Listen – We went out into a corn field in our small town of Sauk Prairie and found a patch of corn that was real tall…taller than they were and ready to be picked and got very very quiet…so quiet that you just might hear that corn growing…and we talked about how the sun was just perfect and the air just perfect and then I let them finish the story in their mind…
