Props/Music Resources Required: Music player, relaxation music, “Ready, Set , R.E.L.A.X.” book, large rolls of paper, markers, affirmation cards

Lesson Plan:

Calm

  • Belly Breathing – with affirmations – with the Hoberman sphere
  • Pulse Counts – use drum to beat out what you hear
  • Poster Activity – Create a “Me” poster outline of the body, write positive attributes

Activate

  • Mat 20 – times 3

Calm

  • Discussion – Discuss what is “pride/proud”
  • Relaxation Story – pg. 88 “A Little Adventure” in book, message “I am happy being me”.
