Yoga Calm Principle/Lesson Goal: Grounding

Lesson Plan:


  • Start with a darkened room, soft music and ask students to lay on their backs, close their eyes and place a hand on their belly.
  • Begin by taking 3 long deep belly breaths.With each breath say to yourself, “I am strong, I am in control, I can do it”.
  • Hoberman  breathing seated – allow students to take turns.
  • Volcano Breath x 3
