Lesson Plan:

Calm

  • Belly Breathing – Using the sphere
  • Circle – Palms together with neighbor and create a human sphere – IN arms up/EX arms down Everyone counts (12)

Activate

  • Volcano Breath
  • Arm Swings
  • Block Creek – Walking and looking down/looking straight ahead/Bent down
  • Tree Circle – Together/Independent – Discuss the difference of individual and community, how does it feel to have support from one another
  • Eagle (Circle) – Independent/Together
  • Tree Challenge – Partner
  • Mat Tag – Take turns to cue (using their idea) when to move and when to be still
  • Compliment Game – Give compliments about your experience during Mat Tag

Calm

  • Back Drawing
  • Relaxation – Having a community gathering at the park. Who would you see there? What kind of food would be served? What type of games would everyone play?
  • Time to share
  • Hands to Heart Center
    • Heart – Compassion
    • Mouth– Kind Words
    • Forehead – Positive Thoughts
