Lesson Plan:
Calm
- Queen Images – handed out, treat yourself like a Queen today
- Chime – Listen to the chime – focus on preparing to listen to your body
- Belly Breathing – with Hoberman Sphere: 10 breaths
Activate
- Mountain Pose – tall and strong, like a Queen before her people
- Tree Pose – find balance, stay focused, spread your branches and listen to the wind
- Roots – wind the roots down to the earth’s core, connect yourself to the center of everything, feel your power, hear your strength in the stillness of the earth
- Eagle – perched at the treetops, listening to every sound, aware and in their body, feel the twists and turns of your body
- Flying Eagle – listening to what’s in the wind as it blows by (pain, hurt, anger like the wind, passes by)
- Forward Fold – hug your body, listen to your heart beat, your lungs breathe, send love to your body
- Mat 20 – listening to how the body feels and what it says at each pose
- Conflicted Feelings – knowing what your feelings are and feeling your feelings
Calm
- Progressive Muscle Relaxation
- Guided Imagery on Feelings
- Volcano Breath – breathe in the good, breathe out the pain, breathe in calm, breathe out fear, breathe in peace, breathe out kindness
